Huh, I'll reserve judgment as I don't know anything about Karlsson. Could end up being like the Granlund for Shinkaruk trade that looked bad at the time but aged well.

Just crappy because Dahlen looked to be improving in the AHL, coupled with his previous chemistry and friendship with Pettersson, as well as our desperate need for wingers.

Dahlen is most likely overrated as hell on this board but I'm not sure this is the guy I'd be targetting.

I'd still take this guy over a Granlund-type asset so I guess that's a plus.

Karlsson actually had really good stats last year in Superelit, over a ppg. We should be getting a pick back in a trade like this.

Purely from stats: Dahlen was a PPG in Allsvenskan in his D+1 (with Petey, but still). Karlsson has 17 points in 48 games so far this year. Hmm.
