I love speculating as much as the next guy, but these types of proposals decrease the value of this part of the board.

There is no way Calgary is shopping him. And there is absolutely no way the Rangers are involved, even remotely, in getting him. Hypotheticals are fun and all, but this about as realistic as hoping Jon Snow will come center our first line and use Longclaw to score the SCF winning goal in game 7 in OT.

And I think a Hall/Gaudreau trade would be the most lateral, equal, 1 for 1 trade you could make. No + either way.

One is going into the season as a UFA, the other is signed for under 7 through-out the 21-22 season. Sure, fair 1 for 1 deal...

people scoffing at #2OA need to remember how cap friendly Gaudreau's cap hit currently is too.

I am not a flames fan but I do believe he is more valuable than the #2. Now I also do not think the Rangers should be paying that as they are not at that point in their rebuild yet.
