I actually don't think Boyz n the Hood holds up all that well. I thought Baby Boy was much better, although flawed as well. Still, there's some really funny scenes in Baby Boy.

RIP. I can't relate but Boyz N The Hood is indeed an excellent film. I liked Baby Boy too.

He's had some good movies, Boyz n the Hood, Hustle and Flow, Poetic Justice, Four Brothers, Black Snake Moan.

Wonder what this means for Snowfall, as season 3 was said to be out in July.

Gotta confess I never saw Boyz N' the Hood, but recognize it as one of the seminal films of my generation, and was shocked to see this news so casually in a link on an unrelated story on TMZ just now. Hadn't heard anything about it...2nd unsung celebrity death I've seen today, as the original guitarist of Level 42 also was found dead at his home in the last day or two...around the same age, too.

51's too young to die from a stroke. Especially since I'm edging closer to that half century mark myself in less than a decade. R.I.P.

Loved Boys In the Hood Ice Cube was hysterical in it, he stole the movie IMO.
