Alright.

Well I sent him a PM asking him if he was still interested and he never responded so tough for him, he's been replaced.

Ok, well Damn, I made out like a bandit in that trade  and now need to put Brodeur back on the market

3rd round pick in 2013

Extremely pleased to bring in Brad Boyes. Hopefully he bounces back and becomes that 30-40 goal scorer but I'm expecting 50+ points out of him.

I'm going to be taking over as GM of the Wild.

I need some time to look at my roster, but I will probably go the rebuild route and have a bunch of pieces available. If you want to talk trade hit me up. I need some time to get myself set up in here.

Dustin Penner still on the block for picks and prospects.

Edit: I like the press box addition to the cap central thread!

2012 Draft Picks
OTT's 1st round pick
OTT's 2nd round pick
OTT's 3rd round pick

2013 Draft Picks
OTT's 1st round pick
OTT's 2nd round pick
OTT's 3rd round pick

Everyone is open for trade, i have no players that i feel are worthy of untouchable status, but 3 paticular players will take alot to get. Also, when PMing, it would be very helpful if you also included what team u are.

JM, if both goalies are playing, you get points for each one right?

I'm pretty sure I can set it up either way.. I'm going to make it so that each goalie gets points for you but I'm not approving deals involving two top 10 caliber goalies on one team. That would be cheap

two starters can count????????????????????

damn i gotta get a second starter or else blow up my line-up and re-build

that new revelation will make the difference between winning and losing!

seriously, confirm what top10 means (who's in, who's a starter but not top10 in your books), or else have a rule against two starters

this is HUGE

It's common sense. He wont allow a Luongo-Miller tandem because that's cheap but will allow a starting goalie and a good back up goalie. So Fleury and say Garon. A good starter and a good back up would be huge but you cant stack up your goalies.

NO.. you guys are not going to be blowing up your teams to get two top caliber goalies because I won't allow it.

What I meant was you can have guys like Rinne and Dubnyk as your goalies.. both are starters on their respective teams but you are not allowed to have a Rinne - Brygalov kind of tandem.

PS - Last season Phoenix had Bryzgalov and Howard, Montreal had Mason and Neuvirth/Crawford, Washington had Lehtonen and Halak. Only Washington was a great team last year but he also has a ridiculous team aside from the goalies. Having two starting goalies is not a new revelation between winning and losing at all.

Goalies
Goal: 50
Assist: 10
Regulation Wins: 3
Overtime Wins: 3
Shoot Out Wins: 3
Regulation Lose: 1
Overtime Lose: 1
Shoot Out Lose: 1
ShutOut: 5
ANY two starters gives a team a CLEAR advantage!

1 point guaranteed with a regulation loss, 3 for a win. Three starts a week means 3-9 points more than some other team that has a backup playing one game every two weeks.

*beep*!

JM wont allow a team to have two amazing starters. Just look at my tandem. Miller and Theodore. Theodore might be starter in Florida but I think it works because Theodore is by no means an amazing goalie.

Theodore is a starter and will give your team 40-116 points.

ANY starter is superior to having a backup goalie under Moss' suddenly announced development. Just wait. You will see the difference!

There should only be ONE goalie for points and make it the GMs responsibility to be ACTIVE and substitute the starter with the backup when one sits and the other finally gets a start.

Don't look too much into the point system as their will be some tweeking. Enforcers especially. We will not be having Zenon Konopka lead the Nashville Predators in points again and get more points than Ovechkin.

VI you're overexaggerating this quite a bit. That was the same point system as last year, the stats don't lie. It's really not going to change a losing team to a winning team.

And keep in mind that Crawford was not even an NHL caliber goalie at the start of last season, and Kari Lehtonen wasn't all that great of a goalie and Howard was not established. These guys were all steal draft picks in 2009 when we did the draft so the teams didn't have to pay a price from their main roster's to get them. If you really want to go for a starting goalie you're going to have to pay a price for it. Personally I believe you'd be better off keeping depth up front rather than going for another goalie.

:sabres in the market for a starting goalie, but not a top-10 goalie. Package a short-term veteran scorer in the deal and get yourself a Zetterberg or other nice long-term contract in trade.

Mehta said this would not be a fair deal for my team:

My Zetterberg, Halpern, Nittymaki
for
His Jagr, Ryder, Theodore

Do you agree?
