This is sad and I was really hoping to see Joey sing the national anthem again. I was really hoping to go to the game on his birthday like every year I go.

This hurts a lot.

No other human being is as associated with Oilers hockey as Joey Moss is. I think they should retire a number 0 jersey with his name on it.

How many years did he serve with the Oilers, 35? That would be a nice gesture to have on it as well.

Aw man, this is tough news to take. He better get a jersey up in the rafters next to the greats on opening night of this season, or hold off until the first game when fans are allowed in again as his ceremony should not be in front of empty seats.

This is my thinking as well. Whatever ceremony they do needs to be in front of fans.

Tragic loss. Joey taught so many people about so much just by being himself. Seemed to be a really great person from all the knew him. Sad day for any Edmonton sports fan.

Truly a tragic loss. Condolences to the Moss family. Always loved seeing Joey on tv cheering on his team.

I sincerely hope that the Oilers family give him the honour of some kind of special recognition. A patch on the jerseys, a jersey in the rafters, something.

Joey will always be a true Oilers legend.
