2 sick goals last night, 5 shots, 2 takeways, almost had 2 hat tricks. In 10 minutes. (VIDEO BELOW). It's a shame the Jets have so many RW's and forwards are stacked and they go top-6/bottom-6.

He's coming along nicely. A sniper with size who's excellent defensively with few weaknesses. Plays on the PP and PK (where he's a serious threat to score). He could play in my top 6 any day. Really like his overall game and it's so complementary too so he could easily play with top-line talent like Matthews, Toews, Crosby (look at their wingers).

You've got to think he's (been) on the radar of more than a few GM's around the league. He's RFA after this season and WIN would be wise to lock him up, but I bet they get some interesting inquiries for him too.

I’ve always liked him but he seemed to leave you wanting more. Good to see he’s breaking out sort of, he has tons of skill.

He's on pace for 35 points. Let's calm down. He has a great game every 10 games or so and the rest of the time he's a possession player with no finish. If he played top-6 he'd likely just be a complementary piece with good puck retrieval.

Last night was only really notable because it wasn't against the Stars.

Kudos to him for reinventing himself as a defensive specialist to hang onto a NHL roster spot. He was drafted as a one-dimensional sniper who was pretty cocky and showed no signs of being interested in being a role player. He's come pretty far and now he's still occasionally showing flashes of those sweet offensive skills, but for some reason he can't put it together very consistently. As someone said above, he always leaves you wanting for more.

He shows flashes of brilliance here and there but can never do it game in and game out. He's not a bad player, but you can see the potential there to be a top six, but I don't think he'll ever be consistent enough.

He's 98th in the league in P/60. That's decent considering there are 93 first line players in the league.

Unique player, and vital on the PK and the Jets bottom 6. He will likely never live up to his draft position, but he fits the Jets well. Every team needs bottom 6 players, and he's a damn good one.

Last night shows you why the Jets sheltered him from Vegas in the expansion draft.

He has one stellar game and he rates a main board thread?

He is an easily replaced bottom 6 forward.

Tuned into that game last night, probably only the second Jets game I've seen all year and my goodness he was electric. Probably the best player on the ice and that's no knock on the handful of other stars in that game, I was blown away

All about sample size with Armia in terms of his offensive game. We've seen plenty of flashes and stretches from him....we've seen this very "Armia is breaking out thread" before. Seen one with Dano too in the past. He's a useful player regardless but, sorry, not buying that he's anything more than a 30-40 point forward offensively until he proves it. Not saying he can't but there's a track record of this kind of thinking.

When you say he almost had two hat tricks...... that doesn't make any sense. Kind of implies he scored 5 goals and had another shot off the post.

Good game last night but I still think he lacks the offensive instincts to be a top scorer. His goals are almost always individual efforts where he uses his reach and insanely good hands to beat someone one on one (one on two, etc). He seems to lack the ability to find the quiet spots where he can pick up easy points, and only makes highlight reel plays. Since hardly anyone can make those highlight reel plays game after game it gives the appearance of inconsistency, but I think it’s just that his hockey sense doesn’t match his skill in the offensive end of the ice.

Yes.

And Armia’s a 2nd liner right now. He’s good.
To my knowledge, he has featured on a line that is not the fourth one in three games this year, and those were times when the blender was taken out mid-game. Pump the brakes, please.

That being said, he was a monster last night. If he was a monster a bit more often, he would be more than a bottom six forward.

I'd like to see him play more TOP6 minutes. So far he's only got 3-4 line minutes really.

He doesnt really have off games. He always does something useful. Kinda hoping he gets to play somewhere else, where he gets to play the minutes he deserves.
