Pretty tough beween Van and San Jose but I like the sharks top 2 lines alot better.
Top two-line analysis: no contest!

:sharks

Thomas Vanek - Mike Ribeiro - Jarome Iginla
Dustin Penner - Saku Koivu - Martin Havlat

:nucks
Peter Mueller - Jeff Carter - Michael Grabner
Brad Marchand - Shawn Horcoff - Wayne Simmonds

I LOVE Marchand and Simmonds these days (I really do) as uber third liners but marginal top-6 forwards.

Wilson 34 points, Mueller 37 points two seasons ago (0 last season), Frolik 38 points each of the last two seasons.

MAJOR wishful thinking with that top-6 line-up!

CLEARLY not top-8 (in the SHORT-term):
1. Edmonton Oilers
2. Toronto Maple Leafs
3. Washington Capitals
4. New Jersey Devils
5. Boston Bruins
6. Buffalo Sabres
7. Chicago Blackhawks
8. Detroit Red Wings
And imo, not top-10 either! 11th or 12th I'd say, especially all things considered. But I'm only one vote.

Defense and Goaltending analysis:

Andrei Markov - Drew Doughty
Bryan McCabe - Joe Corvo
Ian White - Kevin Klein

Marc-Andre Fleury
Devan Dubnyk

Roman Hamrlik - Kevin Bieksa
Carlo Colaiacovo - Adam McQuaid
Alexei Yemelin - Ben Lovejoy

Steve Mason
Jhonas Enroth

No contest. IMO San Jose's offense is not enough to make up the gap between the defense.
