6. Edmonton - Jakub Voracek (maybe biased here?)

Yup. Surely he'll go before that.

Nice mock but I'd like Montreal to take a guy with first line upside material (what we lack in our system basically) with 12, Hamill or Eller ideally. Perron at 22 is a'ight !

I don't think you were biased at all with having Edmonton take Voracek. I've seen a lot of people have the Oilers as his destination, myself included.

I agree that Thomas Hickey will be gone in the 1st round and probably top 20.

I don't have any real authority to say this, but I suspect that the Ducks will be looking to take a Dman with their pick due to the uncertainty surrounding Scott Niedermayer as well as their current lack of depth (rarely played the 5th and 6th guys). An overload of young forwards on the team and some good ones in the system (Bobby Ryan, Ryan Shannon) leads me to believe that the Ducks will go with a defenceman.

I also think the Blues would be willing to take a flier on Cherepanov and wouldn't pass on him if he's there. With 3 1st round picks, they have the luxury of swinging for the fences without being too concerned with the transfer agreement. Just my 2 cents.

Overall though you did a good job.

Personally I liked the Leafs going with Backlund. Hamill is still fine by me but I thought it was alright the first time. Is it just me or are Toronto and Edmonton going to be fighting for Hamill since 13 and 15 have the same pick? :)

Well I think it's a pretty mixed bag in Leafs land with 4 or 5 guys names being tossed around. I'd probably say Backlund is a pretty good consensus. Hamill has his supporters, especially with the ones wanting Toronto to draft Canadian. But between them I'd say Backlund is the guy.

So who do you guys think Anaheim prefers?

I'm leaning to sticking Hickey in there, but hometown Blum might intrigue them as well, either way I think Anaheim takes 1 St. Louis gets the other

Also what do you guys think about the 19,20, and 21 pick? that ones giving me headaches

Is Florida looking at adding a forward? how does the Horton signing affect this?

I'm leaning towards Florida taking a d-man but what are your opinions?
