Assuming that the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins are the by far the 2 front runners in landing Jimmy Vesey as an UFA Aug 15th

Boston has the advantage of being his hometown team, the team he cheered for and dreamed playing on
plus I believe some of their prospects/players are buddies of his

Toronto has the advantage of employing his Father and previously drafting his brother
so we have that family connection to sell

All in all, his 3 year ELC is going to be the same no what he chooses, but his future earnings beyond the 3 year ELC is going to heavily be effected by what he does and by extention who his linemates are and what roles they play on their respective teams

Having said this I can't think of an even remotely better career choice than to want to patrol the left side on a line with a couple of future stars as Matthews and Marner

Would it not be a dream scenario to have 3 budding stars with the opportunity to play together as a unit for 7 years and beyond, to becoming one the most dominant lines in the NHL, to bond together, win a championship together, get rich together?

Can any team offer this Vesey kid anything close to what the Leafs can?
Thoughts?

The only thing that could be problematic with getting so many young players with top potential is having to pay them all when there free agents. Still that wouldn't be for 3 years aND we could let go potential star players in order to keep the core together.

Don't know why Vesey would sign in Toronto to be honest. There will be a lot of competition here with prospects on the wing.

They all aren't going to be stars unfortunately some will bust after 3 years we'll know.
