I'm honored to have known him while covering Coyotes games. We had some great conversations and I learned a lot from him (like how to handle getting my credentials revoked by the team for the first time....among others). He was the absolute nicest man you would have ever wanted to know. The man taught me a lot about how to maneuver around the waters of being a media type at NHL games/events and about life. I'm going to pay my respects at his funeral this week and hopefully hear some great stories about him from others.
::edit::
I'll also miss our smack talking between myself, Jim, and Dave Zorn (another local media type) on Twitter.
