Why expand the options to 11?
Anyways this will be a runaway for Samberg.
Add Gawanke. He didn't have a great year, but there's not much left to add.
Some suggested to add a few more after the first few rounds because I started with 8 guys. Should I just stick to 10? Also, last round there were only three posts to add, 2 for Skyler and 1 for CJ, so do I just take whoever gets most votes and keep it at 10?
Guess I'm stuck with 11 now lol. I'll just add one from now on then. One more question, do you shorten poll length if winner is obvious, should I make this one shorter for example?Generally I think that's best. It'll generate more interest in voting for who to be added, IMO. Pick a number and stick with it. When I ran it I had 10 or 12 per poll (can't remember) then had the voting to get in. Until it got to the point where I could just add in all the remaining prospects (last 15-20 remaining prospects). No point in taking anyone out of the voting though. Doesn't really matter, it's not anyone who is added now will be a real consideration for another 4-8 picks anyways.
Well that De Leo for Kerdiles trade looks pretty good. Although I find it hard to believe there are 5,959 drafted prospects better than De Leo - or that the gap between him and Kerdiles is that wide. For fun, here is using Manny's prospect tool, based *just* on last year's performance (no shooting percentage regression):
Vesalainen (ranked 8th)
Niku (39th)
Tucker Poolman (70th)
David Gustafsson (98th)
Brendan Lemieux (148th)
Mason Appleton (171st)
Dylan Samberg (173rd)
Logan Stanley (262nd)
Michael Spacek (273rd)
Nic Kerdiles (329th)
Johnathan Kovacevic (376th)
C.J. Suess (736th)
Croix Evingson (770th)
Skyler McKenzie (865th)
Giovanni Vallati (982nd)
Leon Gawanke (1125th)
JC Lipon (1385th)
Luke Green (1405th)
Declan Chisholm (1504th)
Jansen Harkins (3137th)
Nathan Smith (5020th)
Jacob Cederholm (5545th)
Santeri Virtanen (5652nd)
Simon Bourque (6232nd)
Jack Glover (8249th)
Nelson Nogier (8985th)
Pavel Kraskovsky (9244th)
Jan Kostalek (13940th)
EDITED TO ADD MISSING PLAYERS
Some fun extras:
Kale Clague (20th)
Timothy Liljegren (73rd)
Erik Foley (217th)
Chase De Leo (5960th)
Kerdiles is a good pickup as we don't have a ton of guys to recall, Appleton, Lemieux, KV (for no more than 10 most likely to not burn elc, unless he's ready to play all year with Jets). After that it's pretty thin so Kerdiles is nice tweener pickup who can come up with lots of injuries.Well that De Leo for Kerdiles trade looks pretty good. Yes, forgot about them. I really like Griffith.Griffith and Everberg I believe are the pickups to help with emergency recall help. Griffith has played 45 NHL gp over past two years split between Toronto and Buffalo. Everberg played 70 NHL gp last time he was in NA between 2014-2016. Both are decent depth options.
I'd also vote if it is a landslide to close earlier and go to the next. Just as I'd argue if it is real tight to leave it open a little longer so more posters have an opportunity to vote.Looks like an open and shut case. Might as well make the next one now
I dunno the weird site rules, can I open next one before this one closes? Like first thing in morning for example? I don't wanna ruffle any feathers.Looks like an open and shut case. Might as well make the next one now
The reason we generally keep all of them open the same length is to have something to do during July, tbh. Might also be some interesting discussion to be had (see @mcpw).I dunno the weird site rules, can I open next one before this one closes? Like first thing in morning for example? I agree. And not everyone checks the site every minute, some people have a life unlike me, so that's why I've been doing 21 hours. The reason we generally keep all of them open the same length is to have something to do during July, tbh. I like Gus and think I'll vote for him next. His skating worries me but rest looks great. I was gonna go Lemmy next as he's ready but I think Gus has far more upside.Repost:

Good that the people who watch him play see upside, but I'm not voting for him anywhere near our top5 until his results start looking better than Jack Glover's. Some people saw upside in him, too.
Good WJC is nice, but the biggest part of any player's season is the 600+ minutes of 5v5 they play during their regular season. I'll be waiting for Samberg to do anything there. He hasn't moved the needle so far. Two primary points in 42 games, sounds like replacement level.
Went with the Swedish Lowry who scored six 5v5 goals in the SHL at 17.
Stanley should slot in somewhere before 10 which is fine with me. We had Appleton 19 last year before his first pro year. Next year will be most telling for Stanley.Geez....not looking good for our 2016 first round draft pick Logan Stanley.
