Some Jets "raised their game" and had a great playoffs. Some didn't. Here's a simple look at the percent change in all-situations Points per Game between the regular season and the playoffs.

Byfuglien had a great playoffs, altogether. Huge jump. Stastny was also great (too bad the same can't be said for his linemates).

Not a good showing by the guys at the bottom. No one dropped more p/gp than Perreault. Lowry was close. I think it's safe to assume those two weren't close to 100%. The bottom 6 didn't bring f***-all in the scoring department. It's a bit shocking how depth scoring dried up.

Morrissey and Trouba were well off their regular season pace. Buff is the only defenseman on the team to raise his offensive contribution. Myers scored at exactly his regular season rate. Every other defender was down by 24% or worse.

The average "improvement" was -30% - so you can draw the Mendoza line under Ben Chiarot.

Anyway, this ignores a lot of things and isn't perfect, but I think it's an interesting snapshot nonetheless.

I wonder if that playoffs is going to cost Perrault. Not so much because he was bad, he wasn't but, because he was outspoken and was negative about Mo keeping him out of the line-up because of an injury which he never played like 100%.

While this is a nice attempt as you mentioned it is very limited in actually assigning any type of value to performance outside to our offensive forwards.

Role is important in the playoffs and this really doesn't account for it. Trouba and Morrissey weren'
Asked to score they where asked to defend. They would be at the top of many other metrics in terms of positive change such as XGF% and CF%.
