This sounds about right.

I'm looking at Pavs to get a .999 save percentage and Scheifele and Trouba BOTH winnng the Calder because they will just be so damn good in 2013-14.

Tonight the Jets start their historic 82-0 season.

This off season couldn't end soon enough.

Can't wait to watch the game tonight. Really hoping the Jets come out with some energy. It's "only" game 1, but two points in game 1 count the same as two points in game 82.

Hope the team isn't taking the Oilers lightly. There is still enough offensive talent there, and they could be very good on the PP as well.

Like everyone else, I'm so pumped for tonight!!!!

I'm going to try to approach this season by being a little more patient with the lineups. It will help my blood pressure and sleep patterns.

*breathes* it's going to take some time for all the new guys to gel *breathes*.....

I know this is probably stepping beyond the bounderies of just being a regular poster around here. so I will take the wrath as required, but I am pleading on behalf of all the posters new and old on this Jets board can we all please stay out of other teams GDT's and PGT's.
Or at the very least not, post about it here.
Last year had nights turn very ugly and I am sure the mod's were ready to explode with the crap that was happening (just look what happened in the pre game thread yesterday), and it doesnt make these threads very enjoyable to read.
It has been bad enough with allot of people from our own board (myself included) sniping each other in recent weeks!

Lets try and enjoy this thread! Especially when the Jets win 5-0 tonight ;)

oh yeah I forgot

Jerts win this one 1-0. Burmy flies over from the K, scores the goal, then notices Trouba has his number and immediately flies back to the K in a huff. The post game thread is epic.

Here is something that hasn't been much publicized.

The entire long weekend that the Jets just spent in Banff was in-part coordinated/planned/facilitated by the Jets sports psychologist John Phelan. He is a specialist in Organizational Behaviour, joined the team part way through last season, and this will be his first full season working with them. I've seen a few lectures given by him and would suggest that the Jets are going to be a whole different animal than we saw the past two years. I even noticed a bit of a different tone to the player exit interviews taken yesterday; these guys are all business now. They aren't just talking the usual talk but rather are saying the sort of things that need backup by a demonstrated level of personal accountability at all times. That isn't a coincidence but rather is an extension of a new culture the team is working to instill from within.

I really think this will be the year that they start to turn the corner. It begins tonight.

I do like the fact that they all bought into being responsible to their teammates - it shouldn't always be up to the coaching staff to mentor, nag, and motivate. Many times, it's a much more powerful message when it comes from your co-workers, or in this case, your teammates. Good to hear.
