Does anyone know why all 3 threads about ticket sales were locked with no explanation?

Interesting...

We can discuss Buff and if he's missing because of everything from.... he likes fishing too much, to, he's been abducted by aliens... but we can't discuss TNSE and their ticketing / attendance / etc. issues????

The "Ticketing Sucks" thread is still open.

Isn't that thread just for people that want to sell / exchange tickets and not general discussion about tickets?

Ah, that's my bad for sure. There is probably another open thread about that one too, I dunno. Sorry!

Since all of the ticket discussion threads get shut down, I'll post this here.
FRIESEN: Jets fans still fueled by passion, not fooled by prices

i donT live in Winnipeg or Manitoba. But the one thing as an outsider Jet fan that I feel hits the nail on the head is the team not being involved in the community and engaging with fans. Not talking charity and events, i am talking marketing the team and players. Something the NHL is horrible at to begin with and wont make a difference on tickets in Canada. It is just a side point how weak the Jets are with cool funny interviews and videos. No extra backdoor/ behind the scenes things that fans live through it. Even just like a road trip video of behind the scenes practice and plane and such. Or social media personal interviews where its about them not hockey. Instead it is Just your very basic coverage.

I'm sure I posted the pictures from the old Atlanta Thrasher "casino nights", where the players on our team would get dressed up to the 9s and be "fun money" casino dealers for a bunch of rich socialites who would pay big money to win fun bucks and try and auction for prizes, etc. While that might be a bit too high-brow for Winnipeg, given TNSE's thick-as-thieves ties with Manitoba Lotteries I cannot possibly imagine how they couldn't do a "corporate casual" level event like that at the Shark Club and have it anything but a smash hit.

Has there been a statement about why they are all shuttered? I missed it if there was. I realize that many veer into criticizing Chevy and Mau and as such are off topic but can't we have one?

They were closed because of exactly what you said. We can rename the ticketing sucks thread to that, but any Maurice and Chevy talk is going to get deleted. There are threads for talking about that. Posts like "Chevy ruined this team and now nobody is buying" are not on topic.

It's actually quite on topic whether you want to believe it or not.

Double Buggs's thank you. The mods on this forum have been the very model of professionalism, of transparent and lucid enforcement, and even if I ever disagreed with a zebra's call :P I can respect that call as coming from a sound mind's judgment; not all mods in not all fora are that way, so basically, appreciate what we got, cause they're awesome :)

Also: I just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone for receiving my cheeky GDT against the Isles so well. My wife wonders why I take the vagaries of a message board so personally but at the end of the day, this place is pretty much my clubhouse now. For better or for worse or for MUCH worse :P you're who I got. I love hanging out with my sympaticos(?) here. So yeah :)

How's that course looking now? I used to golf there a lot while living in the city. A friend of mine's inlaws were part owners so he always got a free cart. Did they ever fix that trashy looking area along the second hole I think it was? Had a lot of fun there and their clubhouse sandwiches used to be great.

Oh yeah....come back Buff but only if it works for you.
3 of the 4 owners have passed.
The last one just went into a home.
One of the owners daughter and husband take over next year.
It’s well looked after for a country course and I really like the laid back atmosphere and I bought a membership for next year for 800 all in
I have a 7:40 Sunday tee time all next season lord willing

Pretty cheap and you get the same tee time all year ? I wish we could do that , 14 days in advance is all we can do and you have to be at their highest level of membership to do 14 otherwise it's only 12 . So i'm making bookings everyday to stay 14 days ahead , it sucks .

Well it’s a 90 km drive but it’s low key.
I’m a duffer 95-105 so it’s a good place for recreational golfing.
Maybe one day our paths will cross on the course.
A good friend of mine is a member at Niakawa so I get spoiled once in a while.

I have a buddy there too , he's constantly trying to get me to join but it's alot more cash than St.B where i am . I'm a hack but i did get my first hole in one this year and it was actually a golf shot . Was a member at Elmhurst for a couple of years as well but i like the laid back feel of St.B .

I haven’t played St. B in a few years.
The greens are really fast and tricky and it’s a beautiful and mature course.
Love that hole near the end 16? where you tee off through the narrow shoot of trees to a severe sloping fairway right to leff very fun hole.
