Ehlers is a first line winger.
Many of those guys are getting paid more and with the next couple of years signings we will see a huge jump in those salaries.

Ehlers makes Scheif and Wheeler better when he plays with them.
He's one of the fastest guys in the NHL and one of the best at carrying the puck and making moves at top speed.
He can score.
He's elite at zone exits and zone entries.

A 30 - 40 goal scorer with game breaking speed who is only 23.
Ya what an over paid bum.

He had 29 last year when he only played a small portion of the year with Scheifele and Wheeler.
His scoring pace was for 30 goals before the injury with him actually trending up as he had been reunited with S & W.
Easy to see that he will put up nice goal scoring numbers for many years in this league.

My problem is that you labeled him « a 30-40 goal scorer » when he hasn’t done that yet. Maybe I’m being too picky but let’s see him do it first before calling him that like it’s established!

Stone was not at practice today, GM stayed in Wpg to perhaps prepare a sign and trade deal with the Jets. GM's go about trade talk and Chevy ends up meeting up with Chipman afterwards to dicuss the Stanley Cup party arrangements at Portage and Main!! Let the roller coaster ride begin !!! Jets win the cup in 2019 baby!!

Zhamnov s correct. Salaries are on the rise & Ehlers at $6 million is a bargain basement price.

His contract is what every team in the league covets.

In addition no one has brought out the best of Wheeler & Scheifele than Ehlers has. When Maurice has them together it's one of the strongest in the NHL.

Not sure what he haas to do with Stone at the deadline. Ottawa's return from Winnipeg will be the three P's.
