First eklund is a well...dummy. Secondly Nylander has no contract issues..both sides preached patience and that's why there is no deal

I just don't see why the jets need another forward. They already have the best forward group in the NHL. D-men is what they need. Hopefully Sami Niku will be a star.

They don't as per Eklund.....they would immediately flip Nylander or a different forward for a young RHD.

They don't as per Eklund.....they would immediately flip Nylander or a different forward for a young RHD.

If the Jets acquired Nylander, they would not be flipping him. (Jets won't get him anyway)

Jets acquire Sanheim
Leafs acquire Trouba
Flyers acquire Nylander
(those are the main pieces, others could be added to even all the values, plus potentially signing Trouba first etc.)

Here is the thing, Here is the Flyers D as of today:

Provy Ghost
Sanheim Gudas
AMac Hagg
Folin

Myers might be ready at training camp, but we don't know yet. Morin is out until Jan/Feb.

And in the AHL, no one is really ready to come up, Myers aside. So the Flyers don't have the D depth to be trading away a Dman right now.

As for KK, he has been talked about in a deal for Simmonds in here. But for a D, the issue remains. The Flyers can't trade away anyone right now.

Lesser flyers d implies hagg for kk which was a discussion earlier in the summer on here. Sanheim for nylander doesn't make alot of sense for philly though valuewise its an even up steal.

nylander isnt a full time center no, but it would be foolish to say hes not both imo, hes played about 20 percent of his nhl games at center(rough maths in my head), and he takes strong side draws often. He plays both position as of now, just winger a lot more but not exclusively.
