Might be scratched tomorrow too.
what a joke.
Maybe the kid is banged up which wouldn't be all that surprising given his frail body and the longest season he's ever played.
We value Weal better then KK
I wouldn’t bench a 2nd game unless injured.
He's officially out against the Sharks according to TSN690. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play any of the California games. He'll be back in the lineup again when the Habs return to the Bell Centre so the home fans can see him though.
hitting 40pts would of been nice...
unless he realys takes off after they put him on the line up, it's gonna be hard! not that it changes much to his developpement but would still have been a nice accomplishement for him.
In before no one sees the value in this and want CJ's head on a platter.
What a stupid organisation.
Yes, I want him to reach 40 pts... play him
What is the value, really ? I don't know, maybe, but I see more value in him playing games.
I didn't get to see the last two games has he been this bad ? This is weird.
That's not even the point. Weal should be in for Weise. The guy has had a bunch of games and shown nothing.
I still don't mind it as long as it is only to rest him. If he doesn't play the entire road trip this will have no negative consequence at all and might rejuvanate him.
Not an issue at all.
Hopefully this rest will be good for him, and the team.
Unless the kid can NOT play physically? It is a HUGE mistake to bench him. Here we are again ****ing up a top tier prospect. Unbelievable
Un****ing believable ... let him be a part of our playoff attempt! Win or lose. Our organization is ****ed up.
All away games. All big teams. If he's spent, then so be it. Let him come back when the team returns from its west coast swing.
They arent messing him up, just relax....
We all want to see him, and see him do well, but this isnt the end of his NHL career..
He's a boy playing in a mans league, no doubt he is banged up and tired. Think about it guys, just a little thought would be nice.
I just hope they're talking to him.
Not just telling him "You're not playing tomorrow".
It seems quite an easy thing to do, but the past has shown us that it's not always a given in this organization.
Him taking a few games off will ultimately have zero impact whatsoever in his development. I want to watch him play now too, but the guy probably needs some rest. He's played an insane amount of hockey in the last two years. If he comes back well rested, and hungry to compete, that'll only help our playoff chances.
We fired Therrien a few years ago.
I had no problem with the one game scratch to rest. Not sure I agree keeping him out the whole California trip.
