Trade to announce:

To Calgary:
1st round pick in the NHLers draft
3rd round pick in the NHLers draft
4th round pick in the Prospects draft

To St. Louis:
1st round pick in the Prospects draft
2nd round pick in the Prospects draft
3rd round pick in the Prospects draft

The Flames are focussed on building a strong team of NHLers moreso than a good team of prospects, and now are in good shape to do so. They wish they could keep their picks, but you have to give to get.

The Canucks are looking to ship out their first round pick. They're asking for a third round pick as the centerpiece of the deal...

The Blues are focused on the opposite - starting with a strong young base and building for the future. We confirm the above trade, and are also willing to move our 2nd in the NHLer draft (#28 OA) for the right price. PM if interested.

Another trade to announce:

From St. Louis:
2nd NHLers draft
5th NHLers draft
6th prospects draft

From Chicago:
1st prospects draft
3rd prospects draft
4th NHLers draft

The Blues have now acquired 3 top 15 picks in the prospects draft. While we would have liked to get up earlier and get one of the really true stud prospects, we feel that there will be good value later in the NHLer draft for how we are looking at building our team.

Can I pick now. It has been about 2 days since it was Nurminens pick. I don't think he is going to pick.

yeah, it's you.

I would've sent you a PM but they aren't turned on or something.

He has less than 15 posts so he can't send or receive PMs yet...

The New York Islanders are proud to select LW Rick Nash.

Salary: $1.185 million.

Very nice pick. Gotta love Rick Nash. 19 years old and 41 goals at a puny salary, need I say more?

Apparently StealthSoldier has not been online in a long time, so I'll seize control of his teams I guess and make his picks for him...

Detroit is pleased to select goaltender Martin Brodeur, who surprisingly dropped all the way to tenth overall (even if a pick was skipped). He's one of the best puckhandling goalies in the game, is a clutch netminder and has shown himself to be a proven winner. The Wings are thrilled that he dropped all the way into their lap, even if he does have a rather hefty salary.

Dang you! He almost always slips through the cracks... not this time...

The Avalanche, under interim general manager Jon Burke, select right winger Martin St. Louis, who was this year's scoring champ. Although small, St. Louis is a threat on every shift with his speed and hands. He has been overlooked everywhere he goes and the Avs are thrilled to have snagged him with the 12th overall pick.

Just to let you guys know the Canucks are looking to move their first round pick (20th overall) for a package deal with the centerpiece being a third round pick. The Flames are also willing to listen to offers for their second first round pick. Please PM me if you're at all interested. Don't be surprised if I PM you as well.
