Watch Wade turn him into a big weapon for them.
Looked like he was getting it together last year but has regressed back to ineffective player he was as rookie
Bust label looms but if Phillips can get him back on track this could be great move for Rams
haha how many picks do the Rams have next year?
Interesting move to say the least.
Don't have their 2nd (Peters trade), their 3rd (this trade) and 7th (Ogletree trade).
In fairness his rookie season was coming off a serious injury. He might just be a rotation/scheme guy.
I still believe in Jacksonville next year(provided how they address their QB) but I would have done the same for this season. It's not going to happen.
watching NFL live right now, jesus Bill Polian looks like death....
Look at their roster. Many of which are guys on rookie deals or low contracts.
Sometimes you have to go all-in to win.
Ah. For some reason I thought they traded their 1st.
Sure, I don't care. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
It's not the way I would operate , but that's irrelevant.
How would you build a 8-0 team sir?
Makes all the sense in the world for the Rams. They could use the edge rusher.
And it’s much more than I thought the Jags would get. I assumed it would just be a 5th or 6th so getting a 3rd and a 5th for a guy who only had 8 games left with the Jags sounds great.
I would trade Goff for Bortles immediately.
lol , christ. I just value picks , and I'm not sold mid-season moves really move the needle that much. Historically , they really don't.
We'll see if this one works out well. Again, I'm not saying it's a bad move. Just not something I'd do.
Yup, same. I'm pleased.
Same , hence my apprehension.
In theory, if everything works out well , he gives them an element they're missing. But the guy is ridiculously inconsistent.
We'll see if he just needs a new environment.
Yeah, I was thrilled. I want to get as many picks as possible so come April we have as a good a chance as possible to trade up for a QB
Rams have a lot of draft picks. They have two comp picks coming back. If you wouldn't make this trade in their slot you would have to be fired lol.
Yeah, I get this is their early window with Goff , and that the entire ethos of the club is boldness and aggression. From the front office to the field; it's what they do , and it's entertaining/refreshing.
I just think Fowler was the only pash-rusher on the market , and they overpaid for a guy I really don't think will be worth it in the end. It's at the very least a risky deal , imo.
As for firing for me not adding an inconsistent pash-rushing rental to an 8-0 roster , I think I'd survive if I held off.
They'd be fine with or without Fowler.
It's good value on both ends. Fowler only just turned 24. Good risk for the Rams to take on, and the Jags were done with him.
Rams have a 2 year window here to win while Goff is still relatively cheap on the books. After he gets a 30 million+ extension its going to be harder to just a dd whomever they want.
Their D has been disappointing in a. sense but Wade could possibly work some magic with Fowler.
I heard the Jags wanted to keep him but they wouldn't have room to pay him and Ngakoue.
Loving this trade, he’s been a great add to our defense.
Thank god for this trade
I feel like the Rams are not going a walk in the park for Brady.
Way better at pass rushing than the Chiefs. If they can shutdown Gronk/Edelman I could see many sacks/interception.
I thought he got traded again - I was like that's unusual right before the SB
