Was expecting 6M AAV after Dumba's contract.

Good deal if he can stay healthy and put up 25-30 goals consistently.

Love it. I’d say Fenton did well between this signing and Dumba’s.

11.5 million combined for the next 5 years is damn good. Gives us some wiggle room in the future.

11.5M for the two RFA’s, so we’ve got like 1.5-2M in cap space currently? Pretty good.

After all the discussion of comps had him at 5.6m for 4 years, so this ain't bad!

$1.7M

Not exactly the dire situations we've been in recently. Should have plenty of room for callups if 1 or 2 guys should get banged up.
1.76m with a 23 man roster. Once Suter is healthy and someone is traded or waived should leave them at 2.4-2.5m with two extra skaters. No more emergency callups? knock on wood

I was expecting 6x6, hoping for 5x6, so this is okay.
At least we get his 5 best years for 5.5 and that should be okay.
Now it‘s up to Zucker to make this a steal.
Maybe show up in the playoffs?

Strikes the right balance overall.

I still think he and Nino will be on the hot seat until a trade actually happens, but this makes that playing field much more level than $6m+ would have. And Zucker will likely pick up where he left off playing with Granlund, which is an advantage.

Question now is if we have Nino Zucker Parise 100% who plays where?

Depends on who fills the 9th top 9 spot between Kunin and Greenway (the two front runners) and where they play, if the coaches are more comfortable playing them with another younger player (Eriksson Ek) or playing on a line that is going to get tough defensive assignments (Koivu). Also assumes that Zucker/Staal/Granlund starts as the top line, which isn't a given.

Was hoping in the low 5s. Thought it was a possibility for the security, despite UFA years. Doesn't matter, I'll take it.
