Is he better off staying in Dallas, reuniting with Ottawa, or being traded/signed elsewhere?

Cons of leaving Dallas: Due to Hanzal's current injury, Faksa would become their #2 center. But, it looks like some of their players on their current roster switch back & forth from winger to center:

Pros of returning to Ottawa: It would help boost their depth at center, and his veteran presence would obviously be appreciated by the younger prospects?

Only time he returns to Ottawa is if new Ownership brings him back for a 1 day retirement ceremony.

Yeah Spezza is on record not wanting to play in a Canadian market, Fat chance of him returning to Ottawa. Not sure where he will go his wife is a Texas girl. Could see him going to a good playoff team in the States somewhere.

I'm surprised that he dislikes the Canadian market, but hey, I guess he's better off playing for any other team rather than Ottawa right now...

He has 5 points in 7 games right now and is the only forward not named Benn, Seguin or Radulov that is producing in Dallas right now. Some Stars fans might want him gone because he skates way slower than before, but he can still put up points and while he is doing that Dallas wont move him becasue our scoring depth sucks and moving Spezza makes it worse

He is our only depth right now. Moving him just makes a bigger hole

He has actually been good this season though. Not saying a whole lot, but he has easily been our best forward these last 3 games

Keep him for now, and depending on where Dallas is by the trade deadline, they can keep going or trade him as a rental
