Former friend Jared Boll retired.

I always appreciated him.

He played for 11 years and only saw 15 games in the minors. He made roughly $11.5 million in career earnings.

I think he's one of those few people in life who can honestly say that he got MORE out of his career than was realistically possible.

Best wishes to the Boller!

My favorite memory of Boller is when he beat the snot out of Tootoo his rookie season. Came back from injury to do it after Tootoo was running around the previous game if I recall. Not wise to rush back but I certainly applaud the spirit.

When he cameo'd with Bob and Jody during the 3v3 tournament, they nudged him about getting into broadcasting. He seemed reluctant, but then loosened up a bit. I think he'd do well as a color commentator.

Didnt want him bought out was always hoping to somehow get him into the organization like we did Campbell. One of the greats. Wasnt about the scoring it was about loyalty to the team the city and his boys. Give him a job.

We've already got Jody doing color commentary. Can either he or Boll do play-by-play?

I can imagine the broadcast...

Jody: Geez Boller the linesman should really let them go at it.
Boll: Yeah Jody they are grown men. They know what they are doing.
(Meanwhile play continues)
Jody: I just don't understand why the refs won't let them go at it.
(A goal is scored)
Boll: Back in our day we could go any time we wanted. No nanny refs then.
(Penalty shot saved)
Jody: Back in our day? Are you calling me old?
Boll: Yeah old man. I could take you any time, any where.
(Hat trick on the ice)
Jody: You think you could take me?! Come here punk!
Boll: Oh yeah! Lets do this!
(Injury on the ice that requires a stretcher)
Jody: You little *****! You are a middle weight!
(Fighting sounds as local kid is honored for volunteer work)
Boll: Good job old man
Jody: You too middle weight
(The camera comes to them with bloody noses, torn shirts and suits)
Jody: Well that will wrap it up for tonight. See you next time Boller.
Boll: Good broadcast Jody. It was fun.
(Graphics show that its only the end of the first but they both leave to get a beer)
