Your assessments on Jakobs season thus far? And how do you think he has managed the alternate captain role?

13 goal (most on the Ducks) 12 assists 25 points (tied for the most) in 36 games

He has also been scoring shootout goals

So happy to have him as part of this team.

My neighbor is about 60 and up until recently moved like he was 92. He went in for a double hip replacement surgery in the spring and within a couple weeks he was out mowing his grass and was moving like he was 20. Moral of the story: modern medicine is amazing and I'm happy Silf is back to his old self.

Why are they still using him on the PP? It's wild thay someone who continues to not score in any way is used every game on the PP.
Probably because he's the only one that will skate back when we give the other team an odd man rush :sarcasm:

The only thing that gives me hope is the stretch he had at the beginning of the year pre-COVID where he looked rejuvenated. But yeah, if this level of play continues next year, they very well may have to eat the final year of that contract and buy it out. Love the guy and his intangibles, but he looks like he can't play anymore most nights.

He's been more useful than Getzlaf has since the first break.

A pair of goals in the opening period of today's game against the Devils which are his 1st and 2nd goals of the season.

I'm not bumping this to rag on him, I still love Silf, but unfortunately I think he's cooked. Been over a month since his last point, with only 4 on the season, only getting a point in 3 of our 24 games played. Really starting to wonder if we buy out his last year.

I doubt it unless we needed cap space which I also doubt.
