Schenn's lack of production was and issue in a March and April, just like Allen was an issue in Jan and feb. The whole team was not good enough to make the playoffs, these are just two examples. Just because Allen let up a goal against Chicago does not erase all the chances blown by the power play, the lack of production from top 6 forwards and the fall of defensive play.
To solely blame Allen and put no blame on any other player or aspect including coaching, which I put the most blame on the most, is intelluctaully lazy.

Lol. The team's lack of production was an issue, not Schenn (considering he outproduced everyone). You are completely out to lunch with this losing argument.

Why are we still discussing this? Allen is a backup at best. Get Husso and Chad some minutes and let's move on from this.

How many goals did he score down the stretch? When a team fails to make the playoffs the whole team is responsible including your crush Schenn. Career years mean nothing if you dont qualify for the playoffs..

Chad wont be a saviour, but will be interesting to see the Husso dynamic, if Allen struggles a s husso has a good first half in the A I could see a situation where he takes the starting role. Exciting times!

Results haven’t been there but...so far so good. Through 4 games he’s been the least of the concerns.

I think Allen has performed quite decent level. He had couple bad games, but we can't blame him why we suck currently. Johnson won't fix the problem. Tho I believe team would perform another level with different kind of goaltender like Husso.

Another game and point costed because of Allen and Petro. Besides Tank I say anyone on the team should be traded if the asking price is right.

It's amazing the Blues only missed the playoffs by one point last year with the overrated team they have.

Tell us how you really feel. So you would trade Orielly, Schwartz, Fabbri, Parayko, Schenn, Dunn, Kyrou, Thomas, Edmundson, etc.?

I know offense is up across the league and goalie equipment is finally in check, but the Blues can’t expect to win giving up 4 and 5 per night. Jake hasn’t been bad, but he certainly hasn’t been good enough. This season could quickly go down in flames is they can’t shore up the goals-against. 19 out of the lineup should help immensely.

I'm not sure I fault Allen for any of the goals against tonight. Maybe the 4th one but there were also 11 skaters on the ice and the puck got knocked down and just laid there. Allen never saw it after it got knocked down.

He’s playing so deep in net and swimming around so much that it’s hard to tell what would happen on certain plays with a better positional goalie. That 2nd goal may have gone in on a different tender but Jake didn’t do himself any favors by staying so deep when the puck was at the point.

It's a shame, he was better controlled in TOR on Saturday. His consistency is just not there when the heat gets turned up.

Sweet piping hot take there bud. I especially liked the in-depth analysis and well thought out argument.

Jake with his first save in months last night!

How do we think he's dealing with seeing his team succeed while he's riding the pine?
