1701!! :yo:

Jagr is the Man both in his scoring and playmaking.

He also has a sense of humor like Cam Janssen.

Hooo..aaaahh....aaaaah...hooo....You suck!

Hooo..aaaahh....aaaaah...hooo....You suck!

So nice to have a Goal Song that's solid. Not RRP2 but it will do as a replacement. :D

OH please don't ever put Jagr and Janssen in the same room. Janssen doesn't belong on NHL ice.

Hey, he blocks shots too!!

According to the main forum, he's going to score 40 Pts in his first 60 games, burn out, get traded and score just 10 Pts in his last 20 games on the 3rd line.

Ignorance is bliss.

How great would it be if Marty and Jags made the same HOF class. Enter draft same year, exit together in fashion.

which = 50 points, which I would've signed up for in a heartbeat from him before the year.

Haha maybe they can challenge each other on who will out play the other in years. Imagine them both playing at 50 lol. Just kidding about that but it does help having someone around who is a similar age. You can relate.

If that happens, the Devils will end up with a nice draft pick.

But that won't happen because, according to Jagr, we're going to win the Stanley Cup. :sarcasm:

For Jagr only to score 50 Pts, he will have to score just 36 Pts in his next 64 games. Jagr has been playing way too well for him to suddenly stop scoring.

Last season, even when he played for Dallas, he was constantly being shuffled around on the lines and was playing with 4th liners on the 3rd line at points.

Fans are vastly underrating what confidence can do for Jagr. Jagr feels wanted in New Jersey (in ways that Dallas and Boston didn't make him feel) and DeBoer seems to respect Jagr a great deal and considers Jagr the team's offensive leader and go-to guy.

The more I watch him play (even during those 2 back-to-back shutout losses (he was the only player who showed up it seems), the more I am convinced that he's going to get better and better as the season wears on.

He's been easily the best player on the ice for both teams the past 10 games or so and they have played some opponents with great players so that says a lot about how great he still is.

I just trust my gut that this season, the end result will be much more positive for Jagr, he won't slow down as the season progresses but rather he will get stronger.

If he can play at a near PPG pace when the team was struggling, just imagine how much better his numbers will be now that it seems like the team is turning the corner?

As for Jagr making a comment about the Devils winning the Cup, it might be a joke somewhat but the last time he made similar comments was back in 2005-06 (during training camp for the Rangers). That team he played for was picked to be a lottery team, some writers even picked them to finish dead last in the NHL, Jagr's response to that was "we're going to make the playoffs and I will help the team by individually challenging for the Art Ross". He made good on both guarantees. I see a similar confident Jagr.

Never thought I would have said this before the season:

Jagr >> Kovalchuk

For a guy that's been here five minutes, he's a leader and a good personality for the room. Not to mention his style fits the system better.

Well that's assuming he plays all 82. That's my only fear with Jagr, old man cramps (see: Elias now)

Jagr had bad news and good news for Brodeur this morning. Told Brodeur he wouldn't get a shutout tonight, but Devils would win 3-2

When Jagr is being interviewed he takes his time and looks like he is in some café discussing Milan Kundera or something, not like the normal, stone faced player spitting out endless clichés of hockey players.

I think he and Cam Janssen are the only guys who act like themselves during an interview.

Is there a highly skilled player in the league who fits the devils style better then Jagr?

But I would be very careful in not burning him out. Have to watch his minutes, and I think a day off here an there would be good as well.

Problem is Jagr wants to play and play a lot. He's said it many times since coming back to the NHL that he doesn't want any days off, he says he feels more tired if he doesn't play.

I wouldn't go that far. Kovy pre-injury was an animal playing some of the most minutes in the NHL. He was superhuman given the way DeBoer rode him.

The Jagr of this year is as good as the Kovalchuk of last year at worst. Maybe even better. Kovalchuk played with no heart for the better part of last season. He left it back in Russia. I think Jagr may have already matched last years even strength goal production from the old number 17 too.:laugh:
