Neither has much value due to their contracts. Not really good enough to replace what most other teams have.

Plus, the main thing is that Demko would be a backup next season if he makes the team. Not the starter playing 50 games.

If they can swing either of their goalies for Anderson it would be a good move as Demko would have a veteran presence around him.....

Markstrom still has the potential and skill to be a solid/average starter. Nothing great but competent enough. The defence that we ice don't do his stats any favours, with most of our dmen being bottom pairing calibre.

Markstrom might return a 4th or 5th
Nilsson has 0 value. he was one of the worst tenders in the league last year

If Markstrom is available, I hope the Canes call. He is solid enough to get us to the playoffs. We only need average and I bet he’d be slightly above average with our D.

Reimer for Markstrom?

Make Demko over-ripen in the AHL for one more year, just in case. It never hurts to over-develop a prospect.

18/19 Reimer Nilsson
19/20 Demko Reimer
20/21 Demko Reimer
21/22 Demko (UFA)

18/19 Luongo Markstrom
19/20 (Luongo/UFA) Markstrom
20/21 (UFA) Montembault
