Great timing, just logged on to see this. Glad they got it worked out and really happy to have this guy back.

Yay!!! I'm happy. I like Barbashev. I figured it would get done, but you never know. Good deal for both sides I think. I do think its BS, they had to nickle and dime to make sure he makes less than Sanford. "We can't pay someone without Arb rights more than someone who has them. Sanford makes $1.5M, how about, $1,499,999.98?"

I love that we were able to retain pretty much everyone from the cup run.

I feel like this must be some kind of record in that regard. The only guy we won't be returning who started a game in the playoffs is Maroon, right?

Most Cup winners have significant turnover in the Cap era.

Not sure why they couldn’t compromise and give him 1.75 mill. Hate the idea of pissing of players over a little bit of money.

Maroon wasn’t resigned because of the money. The roster position is more valuable. There’s no reason Kyrou shouldn’t make this team and begin his NHL career

I’d love to see it. Love that Kyrou

Based on all the reports during negotiations, I am surprised he signed for two years. He would have had arbitration rights next summer.

Once I saw that the KHL season started today (with Barbie being shown at the local racetrack recently), I was curious if his signing was imminent.

Sweet - Ivan the Terrible returns.

When Pouilot and MacEachern are moved off the roster, doesn't this leave about $2 million in cap space?
