^ Cheers.

Insane that they have Puempel flirting with the second round. He won't last out the top 15 or 16, with good reason, and it's mind boggling that ISS and CSS are so out to lunch.

I agree with them. For me Puempel is another Schremp, O'Sullivan kinda guy. He may have all the skills in the world, but I don't see it translate to the NHL.

Well somebody doesn't love Huberdeau as much as others. that being said it seems like 8 guys stand out in some order on all lists, then there is a group of 2-3 after that

If this list is accurate, the Maple Leafs likely end up with at least 2 of:

Matt Puempel
Dmitri Jaskin
Mark Scheifele
Boone Jenner
Brett Ritchie
Seth Ambroz

A bit weird they dont release this ranking post the u-18 championship imo.

Yep, it seems that they have a habit of releasing their report/ranking halfway through the month, no matter what.

They have made some big changes to their ranking as of late, for example it would be interesting to know what the thought process has been with Tyler Biggs. In December he was 28th, in February he was 6th, and now in April he’s 17th. Seems to be a bit of an enigma for them.

Getting Landeskog at #4 would be epic for us.

A line of Parise-Zajac-Landeskog would be hard to stop if they get the cycle going down low :scared:

I wonder what the reasoning is behind Rask going up from 28 to 20. What I've understood is that his season with the leksands allsvenskan team has been over for a while, and that he's been playing u-18 playoffs, and now u-18 WJC's. Where has he had a chance to prove himself within this last month?

It's the same with Grimaldi. With his benchmark ranking of 16, what has he possibly done to lower his draft stock? If anything, it should have been enhanced over the past couple of months. There's a common denominator here that creates a grain of salt of effect IMO.

Like most services of this nature, you see the outlier rankings they used to have slowly get corrected until there isn't a huge difference in most. For instance, Huberdeau might seem high at 8 for most people, but ISS didn't even have him in their top 30 in December, and he was 19th a couple of months ago. They are basically late to the party and I expect he'll move up yet again for their final rankings. Meanwhile, you can see some of the late 1st rounders they used to have in tehir top 30 have now been dropped out, because, well, no one else had them in their top 30. Still some unique rankings, but they all do start to look more and more alike as the season goes on.

no Kucherov in top 30? Just crazy :D
Jurco over Kucherov? crazy :shakehead

What's so criminal? Kucherov is VERY small one-dimensional player, with zero NA experience. You're impressed with his U18 WJC performance against teams like Germany/Slovakia? Search for names like Tony Rajala and Teemu Pulkkinen you'll be surprised how low they ended after dominant U18 WJC performances.

Jurco isn't even on the list, but even if he was, he had a rather good season and he has MUCH better frame.

You should probably add Ty Rattie to that list.

What about a first line of

Parise-Zajac-Tendaby

a second line of

Kovalchuk-Couterier-Rolston

That would be one of the best top six's in the league. If you signed a guy like Kaberle your back end would be set, and you guys could be contenders.

2 goals 3 assissts so far in 3 games at the U-18's with a +7.

2nd on the team in scoring behind Mika Zibanejad.

Look forward to seeing the game against Canada today.

No GM in their right mind would take a 5'10" 148lb Russian who is captain of his MHL squad and is obviously grooming himself for a good KHL career.

Please please please Huberdeau fall to 8th ;)

A highly skilled winger projected by many as a top 5 who drops because of concerns about size/work ethic and is drafted by Columbus?

Let someone else draft him who will do a decent job at development.
