Some notes:
- Holmstrom's loan has ended, he will come to Long Island for a bit to train before joining Sweden at the U20s.
- Koivula's loan ends this week, will be back on LI for training with the Islanders
- Zero updates anywhere on Wahlstrom, which has to be concerning at this point

+ = on IR or just hurt

RE: Wahlstrom, this seems to come from his team in Sweden so hopefully a good sign. He's been out for quite a while

Islanders prospects report: Oliver Wahlstrom should be back this week

Oliver Wahlstrom (AIK)
Season stats: 6GP, 2G, 2A, 4pts
I spoke with an AIK spokesperson today about Wahlstrom’s return. They indicated that Wahlstrom should make his return to the ice this week. AIK plays on Wednesday and Friday. It’s been a longer recovery than we all thought, but hopefully, he can get back to the ice soon and continue to push for a spot in 2020-21.

Was the injury ever defined, concussion ?

Was the injury ever defined, concussion ?

Sounds like it pretty much has to be. If not, it looked like something that would have required surgery (torn labrum) or likely longer rest (separated shoulder or collarbone fracture).

Now that Boychuk has retired, does this mean that both Dobson AND AHO get full time duties?

I can't wait to see an Aho - Dobson pair.

Expect Greene to be re-upped and thrown into that mix.

Aho will however likely be on the Island. He's not waiver-eligible and well, gotta think his camp's readiness to re-sign was due to him having a top 7 spot for the time being.

Nice to see Wahlstom back and scoring a goal, but have to admit the goalie sure made that one easy with his positioning.

Yes, but . . .

Bailey would have looked to make the pass

Komarov would have hit the goalie's crest

Dal Colle would have curled to the corner

and

Eberle would have driven the net for the backhand attempt

while

Wyshynski would have used the clip as proof the Islanders will regress

Happy Thanksgiving!

I think Hutton might be the other option for the 7th if they don't bring in another veteran.

Yep, could end up being a righty/lefty decision.

I just figure Aho, because he's lefty and Greene would likely need more breaks than the other Dmen.

Also, Hutton doesn't need to go through waivers to play in BPort.

Would LOVE to see Hutton force the team's hand though...
