Nice weekend roadtrip for Dobson and Ryoun-Noranda.

5-4 win today at Halifax. 1a.
5-4 SO W at Charlottetown yesterday.
5-1 W at Moncton on Friday. 3a.

Excited to have Dobson on a good team again when was the last time his team won 3 in a row? Hopefully the huskies and Dobson go on a nice long run and win the Q

I have been told by a Blues fan not to get excited about Dobson because the league Dobson is in, is " the armpit of hockey "
Would have beem more credible if Blues fans in the thread were not pushing for a Dobson + trade to St. Louis

Chabot was from the OHL. :sarcasm:

Your point still stands though. Regardless of league, Dobson is a quality prospect.

Thomas Chabot played for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL

Haha, you're right. Shit, my bad. I obviously was thinking of someone else.

I think I saw an article on LHH when we drafted Dobson outlining the top d-men from the Q. Chabot probably wasn't on the list since he has only recently broke out so I thought he was from the OHL. Looking back over a decade, it hasn't been pretty with probably Pickles from SJS as the best from that league.

Chabot and hopefully Dobson will buck the trend.

Don't forget Ray Bourque and our very own Marc-Andre Bergeron. Wow, you really can mention them in the same sentence....

Wow. Imagine being a forward being outscored by a Dman in less games?

I guess the Blues fan was thinking Dobson would fit right in with the rest of that underachieving team.

Noah Dobson doin work so far in three games. much better place for him

I think I read that Ryoun-Noranda's rink has the smallest or one of the smallest ice surfaces in the Q. If true, it'll be good for Dobson to have to make even quicker decisions with the puck and likely have to be more physical when defending. He has yet to play a home game with the 3 road W's, but I'm interested to see how that plays out.

Wilde signed his ELC. If he finishes his rookie year as strong as he is now at this pace, he'll have nothing left to prove in the OHL and will play in the AHL next season. He already signed his ELC. 2-3 good years in the AHL and this kid is coming in as a star at age 21-22.

Disagree, Wilde still has plenty to learn in the OHL. His offensive game is unquestioned, his defensive game is another story. He needs reps, just like Dobson needs more reps. Defensemen take time, especially big defensemen no matter how skilled.

Our RD is a strength right now, we aren't in desperate need for either of them. Barzal both of them and then you have twin tower RD's with full ELC's entering 2020-2021. They will be expansion exempt and almost NHL ready to upgrade the RD. Depending on the status of the team, they would both have excellent value in a trade scenario. Young and big RD's who are mobile with offensive skill... only young potential #1C types are worth more.

Be patient, let them cook. Dobson could be the Captain for Canada in the WJC and maybe Team USA gets their head out of their asses and invites Wilde to at least try out and play his way into the team.
