Quick "eye test" here, and confirming what others have noted....surprising how bad the West is this season.
Too bad we didn't play better and get the win yesterday because now it's all doom and gloom for the next 2 days .Gonna be a quiet day today for us forward-lookers...
Scheif needs to be better that's for sure but so does our Captain . We need that line to be scoring not scored on .
Ehlers also needs to finish when he has the opportunity. He had a golden one last night when it was 0-0 if he had finished it, it may have been a completely different game.

Jets will need to be extra decipline in there D zone exits and need to use there speed and constantly pressure the puck or we will lose to these trap specialists.

Why don't the Islanders have Ladd anymore -- have they traded him, is he injured, or did he retire ? -does anyone know ? It was so lucky the Jet's didn't sign him.

Doesn't surprise me -- I knew he was "finished" --the Jet's dodged a bullet there, as I heard Chevy was going to go $ 5 mil per on him -bad deal.
I actually heard 6 for 6 was the offer and he turned it down . And if Chevy signed Ladd he probably wouldn't have re-signed Buff .________________________________________________________

Yeah, $ 5 or 6 mil--what does it matter ? total waste of money either way. I was telling people all along back then, as I could not believe all the people that wanted him resigned. I hope this sends a message to Chevy to be very careful with guys 32+ -- guys just like Stastny -- just don't risk it--sign younger guys IMO.
Wheeler and Little are also big risks, although we'll get some value out of Wheeler for likely about 3 years. Little -- I don't know, maybe a 3rd or 4th line center ?? You can see the difference with Hayes in the lineup.
