Congrats to Isles fans, who have waited a LONG time for a light at the end of this tunnel.
So how many years until it's completed? They gonna still do the split rink thing until then?
Very good news for the Islanders, awesome news for that team.
It will be ready for 2021 - 2022 season. Yes, split until then.
Pumped! New transit routes planned to it as well. Going to be real easy for me to get to games.
I'm guessing by the comments here that the new arena will be located in a favorable area? If so, happy for you Isles fans.
Is this legit
Yes, it is.
Awesome. Glad to see things finally settling down for the Islanders.
Shovels will be in the ground any day. There’s already been heavy machinery showing up on the grounds!
So pumped!!! Can’t wait
Is there a design/concept?
Nice! Congrats Islanders fans.
Hopefully they keep the lower bowl free of Hondas this time around.
Great......and finally. It was getting soap operat-like.
Very happy for the Isles and their fans. Next to Belmont Park seems like a good location.
Congrats Isles fans. You deserve this
does the car get its own luxury box? Or will it be in the stands with the rest of the crowd?
Do you live like right next door to the location?
No. I’m about 15 min away by car.
as long as they leave the barcley center i am happy
Tell him the truth... you're a degenerate gambler and love dem ponies.

ISLANDERS BREAK GROUND FOR ARENA AT BELMONT PARK – Horse Race Insider
Haha. I went to the Belmont stakes for the first time in 2018 and saw a triple crown. One of the best sporting events I’ve been too.
And yes, I do love dem Ponies!
All your land and parking lots are now belong to us!!
I guess they’re going with a more industrial look like the track as apposed to the more modern look. I don’t hate that. Much better than the spaceship looking Barclays and new coliseum
