Lehner is our last hope. I hope Zibby becomes that 60point 2-way reckoning force and Karlsson is back to his Norris form. I am liking Turris + Ryan together, I just hope Ryan shows a bit more Intensity.

Hopefully playing against 'lesser' competition and having Lehner in net invigorates them. I actually don't mind their effort against Chicago -- they definitely came out a lot harder. They just have to be more consistent and they'll start steamrolling teams.

Should be a high scoring game, at least for Ottawa, by my estimations.

Would love to see these two top lines:

Michalek - Spezza - Zibanejad
MacArthur - Turris - Ryan

But I'd much rather see Conacher take Michalek's spot on the top line.

I don't get the Spezza demotion to play with Neil, hopefully that doesn't last.
At this point I just don't care. Just go out there, play tighter in your end and drill a bunch of pucks past Nabokov or whomever is in nets for the Islanders. Don't take Tavares lightly and get on their D hard to prevent any breakouts.

October is over, November is yours.

So where are people seeing this? I thought they brought up Ryan to play with Spezza or am I imagining that? I missed the Chicago game btw.

And is this Vanek's debut? I'm legitimately scared of that combo in the future. He's basically a rich man's Moulson.

I know when snipers get paired up with elite playmakers people tend to go a little overboard in predictions...I.e. Thornton-Heatley / Spezza-Ryan / so on and so forth but I could see Vanek at least get back to the 40-40 guy he used to be. And that was with Briere or Roy centering. Tavares is supremely more talented than those two.

No, this is not vaneks debut. He played in the the islanders game against the rangers.

Mustache has changed lines around so much during games that I wouldn't be too concerned about Spezza playing on the third line. It'll probably last for a few shifts and then something else will get tried.

Oye. Spezza must be pissed. Which is fine considering his lousy play last game. But these lines are simply awful outside of the Turris line. They'll probably last one whole period before things revert back.

I like that 2nd and 3rd line. We just don't have enough good wingers for the 1st.

Creative formations because we have creative players? Why not?
