Is the 2017 draft the most underrated and underhyped draft of the 21st century?

So many people were saying how terrible the 2017 draft would be with it's depth and lack of an elite player. Yet if anything it's been one of the deepest drafts thus far of this decade. Sure the top 2 picks haven't been as great as the other top 2 picks of recent drafts, but even then they're close. Heiskanen looks like a legit superstar already and so does Pettersson. That draft produced a new wave of Finnish Dman who all have top 15 Dman potential. Jokiharju has had a fantastic start to his career, while both Heiskanen and Valimaki have progressed excellent.

It looks really promising but it's too soon to judge this draft (whether underhyped or overhyped). All the ''underhyped'' players might stagnate and become ''ok'' players, but doubtful.

It looks good so far!

Thomas, Chytil, Yamamoto, Vesalainen, Poehling, Frost, Jokiharju, Tolvanen, Timmins, Hague went late 1st-early 2nds and all look like great players.

What lol? Most of these aren’t even regular NHLers yet. Wouldn’t be calling the draft underrated till we see some results in the big league
