18 points in 23 games on route to a cup.

Most of these points comes from the fact that he plays on a PP with guys like Kuch, Hedman & Point.

Would he have scored 18 in 23 if he had to carry his own line? No.

He had 1 point in 5 games against MTL and was –1.

Stamkos still has a nice shot, if he gets fed the right kind of pucks, but he's a stationary special teams player at this point who always disappears in the later rounds of the playoffs.

He's had an enormous amount of team success despite his pedestrian contributions to it. In the years Tampa made the playoffs, he had 551 points in 533 games, 1.03 PPG in the regular season and 72 points in 94 games, 0.77 PPG in the playoffs. For an in-team comparison, Brayden Point has actually passed Stamkos in career playoff points (73) in 27 fewer games.

Sure looks that way when you watch. If you're going to be a passenger though, it's nice to be on the best ride.

Not a passenger, just producing like a 2nd liner and he's a bit overpaid for that

Can’t speak for the other series but he was invisible 5v5 in the finals.

Still a nice player to have on your PP though.

I know Lightning fans gang on TyJo for his salary, but to me he was always trying hard and Stamkos, while commanding higher paycheck, seems to deliver even less.

He's kind of always been a passenger. Dude is an incredible shooter, but the rest of his game has always been underwhelming for an elite player.
