Poll is in the title. Good for about 55-65 points a year. Obviously outstanding defensively. Is he a legit #1C, a mediocre #1C, or better suited as an elite #2C?

Same. Though I suppose mediocre #1C and elite #2C are kind of the same thing.

    He's capable of filling that #1 role, but if you're a contender, he'd ideally be a #2.

1B/2A guy. Voted for an elite 2nd liner.

Ideally, he’s a 2C. He would be a great asset to a cup winning team in that spot. I don’t think he’s taking a team to a cup at the 1C spot.

Somewhere between Option 2 and 3, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Agreed, on a contender he'd be a phenomenal option to shut somebody down, but not at all the ideal player to drive your offense.

No, if Reinhart wasn't a bust at center ROR would be playing wing with Eichel and the Sabres would really have a wicked 1st line. But as it is Reinhart isn't a center so ROR has to stay there.

He's nothing more than a 1C, not elite or franchise.

Yes. People saying "ideally he's your 2C on a cup contender" aren't answering the question. The question isn't asking how to build the perfect hockey team. They're asking is ROR a 1c. The answer is yes.

Probably not this season so far (had atrocious start, don't know how he's been lately), but the usual ROR is able to produce 55-65 points like OP said, play in all situations, win FO's like no one else and has great smarts. Also has a knack for scoring big goals.

If 60 point offensive C's are considered #1's by many, no reason ROR shouldn't be.

I also think he's the type of player who shines on a winning team. For example if the Jackets could somehow snatch him from Buffalo, i think he'd be great there.

I think he’s in the same tier as Kadri, a very good 2 way 2C

He would be a good #1 on a good team. His team sucks around him. It's not his fault his team and management suck!

having ror as a 2c is like cup contender depth.
buffalo is able to do that yet they are lotto contenders, something is horribly wrong there.

Went with option 3. Very solid player but not a #1 centre IMO.
