Is McDavid's injury worse than what is being reported?

So anytime someone exhibits prudence, you are suspicious?

yep especially when it is this close to the trade deadline.

also when the team tells me its quad injury and then he goes to see a knee surgeon specialist.

No McDavid's injury isn't as bad as being reported. The situation seems more like Benning and Holland are in talks for a blockbuster trade sending Connor to the Canucks.

Right OP? ;)

Originally it was 2-3 weeks and suddenly he's better. I guess the Oilers at first played it safe and went with the longer injury diagnoses - which is the right choice. I'm happy they aren't trying to rush him back tomorrow. He can sit another few games just to confirm nothing is truly wrong.

They report it's a quad injury and he'll be out 2-3 weeks.

Now he's rejoining the team less than 2 weeks in. Maybe I'm just crazy but I see this as the team erring on the side of caution and giving a longer timetable for return than maybe necessary. If he had re-injured his knee do you really think he would have finished the entire game?

You've posted a couple threads about the organization lying about McDavid in recent memory now, and no matter who says what or what gets reported you seem to think it's all lies and the wool is being pulled over everyone's eyes.

I don't even understand why people say management lied about his injury the first time, cause I don't recall seeing it or hearing anything of the sort other than on this website by a bunch of Joe Blows who think them not being privy to the internal working of a sports franchise means people are lying and deceiving. No employer has, or needs to disclose extremely sensitive inside information about your company or staff to prospective hires. Maybe once you hire them, but certainly not before. Nobody lied about anything, people who have no bearing on the situation are just mad that a pro team didn't give them a step by step, detailed account of one of their players who suffered an injury and was looking for multiple medical opinions so they could take to the internet and prophesize doom and gloom based on nothing but conjecture.

Which is even sillier because they made an entire f***ing documentary about it. Nobody lied about anything.

It's worth considering, but not worth thinking too much about it.

I won't be surprised in the slightest if the trade deadline comes along and it gets announced that McD is shut down for another month.

he saw a knee surgeon specialist for a quad injury?

You cant be that gullable can you? He clearly injured the same knee... lets be real here and stop pretending its a quad injury or a charley horse or whatever else.
I know I'm tossing this information under a bridge...

What's the most important thing to protect one's knee ligaments? Strong, flexible leg muscles. Asking McDavid to play through a quad injury would be foolish for his long-term knee joint health.

Why did he return to Toronto for care? After the recovery he went through (successfully) this summer I imagine he trusts that medical team above all others.

You must really hate your own team to be up in McDavid’s business this much
