Speculation: Is Lupul the new face of the franchise? The new Captain?

I heard the sportnet make mention that Lupul is actually coming out as being the new face of the franchise. Hey why not? If he has another solid season, and with Burke (and Burke's pride) being gone he could be the guy as both the face and the captain. Can he be that?

I think Phaneuf is still this teams captain going forward, but Lupul could definitely step up as a leader. He may wear an A this year, but I don't think he'll be captain unless Phaneuf is traded. Lupul and all of the other players seem to have great respect for Dion and I don't think anyone would strip him of his captaincy.

Doesn't he hate Carlyle? I seem to remember him sporting an "oh god, why" face the day Carlyle was hired.
