No.
Fedorov in his short 4 or 5 year prime was quite literally the perfect hockey player. Fastest guy on the ice, hardest shot on the ice, the best stickhandler, usually the best offensive player, and always the best defensive player. Can, and often did, transition smoothly between all 5 skater positions.
Folks always point to the 1993-1996 years to see how dominant he was, but I like to look at the 1997 SCF. In a series that featured guys like Lindros, Leclair, Shanahan, and Brind'amour in their prime years, and a still damn good version of Stevie Y, Fedorov was quite clearly the best player on the ice, outscoring all competition and shutting them down at the same time. Ditto in the series before that, when he outscored peak Joe Sakic while shutting down prime Forsberg. If he hadn't started those playoffs as a defenseman, and had been partnered with say Shanahan instead of Doug Brown, we'd be speaking about that already Smythe-worthy run in the same light as Malkin's 2009 run.
