He is not a #1 by my standards, but IMO there is only around ten of those around.

I maintain that he basically is Brent Seabrook, without Duncan Keith next to him.

Considering he basically had Brent Seabrook results (last season) without Duncan Keith next to him, I'd imagine if you put a 2 time Norris winner next to him, he might look even better than that.

But yes, him, Seabrook, Bouwmeester, Phaneuf, Vlasic, Kronwall, Giordano. These are all guys I'd have in a similar tier. Although Gio may have moved up a level.
