What impact players did he develop for Pitt? Outside of role players in Doumilin & Rust I cant think of any. Sprong was supposed to be a great prospect for them he was waived by the ducks.

Murray, Dumoulin, Rust, and Sheary all played for Hynes in the AHL. An AHL team that made the playoffs every year he was there, including two trips to a conference final. I get that you hate the guy for what he's done in the NHL, but that shouldn't discredit what he did in the AHL.

That Fitz interview had the body language of a rookie consultant on contract to come in and fire half the staff. Been there, seen it. Indirect comments about the purpose... with no veiled threats or promises of intent.

They let Hynes say that to try and save him a little face. It isn’t a big state secret.

I also got more critique of Hynes and the staff out of the Fitzy interview than I did the Shero interview.

It was also interesting to hear him say ''Well, no one thought we were a Stanley Cup team, but playoff bubble team definitely'' or whatever he said exactly. Forgot the exact quote, as I watched the interview hours ago.

Of course there is. The team is off to a terrible start. That is why they need to isolate the problem. Is it Hynes? Is it certain players? A combo of both? Or is this really all bad luck?

It seems that this is like what happened with Captain Crankypants. It does remind me of what Lemaire said that Lou brought him in to do. I wonder if ownership leaned on Ray to "take care of it".

I think Hynes lost the team. Fitz jumped in to do some damage control, hopefully it works. I don't think it will, but we shall see.

That's what I was guessing too. I mean don't get me wrong, I think Hynes is a crappy coach who won't get any NHL team a cup, but this team just looks like a team that isn't being coached AT ALL aka...coach has lost the team.

Don't know who this guy is nor care but one doesn't have to make up any "revisionist history" that under Hynes we have made the playoffs 1 time in the 4 seasons with only 1 playoff win. The other 3 times we finished last in the division 2x and second to last 1x. Also without Halls insane season and him carrying this team on his back we don't even make the playoffs the one year we actually did. We made the playoffs because of Hall, not Hynes.

Also on pace to miss the playoffs for the 4th time in 5 years. I'm no math genius but I think making the playoffs only 20% of the time during your tenure is pretty f*cking terrible.
