Kid's 6-5 230-ish.

Can skate smooth and fast for a guy his size.

COMPLETELY untapped offensive potential.

Heavy shot.

Nasty, physical player to play against.

I don't know what more you could ask for in a defenseman.
Whos he? Where does he play?

That is a good assesement Prescription Jon, I would say he reminds me either of a Pronger or Rob Blake. He isnt as physical, but when he hits he punishes. I think he is basically a taller Jack Johnson, less physical though. I would be shocked if he slips out of the top 5 for 2006

He's got some very nice hands on top of everything else you've stated.

He's got 11 points in 9 games so far, including 5 goals.

Sounds alot like Komisarek...hockey sense is usually what seperates a Pronger from a Komisarek...not saying Komi is bad.

Regina's Colten Teubert is very much the same. About the same size, same style of play, he's just two years younger. He should also be a gooder.

Are you related to Owen Nolan Ryan?

If not for Kessel, Johnson would be the first American picked in the 2006 draft, even over Mueller. He's a good bet to be the first defenseman taken, and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the WJC team.

He's a MUCH better player than Komisarek was and ever will be in my eyes.
Yes, cause you're a hockey expert and you know who has potential and who has none

What the hell are you talking about?

E-Jay is one of the best ever young American defenseman to come through the ranks and I think he has more potential than Jack Johnson (who definately has more potential than Komi).

Stop being a homer and be objective.

He is definetly a great prospect but I have not seen the nasty, physical side at all and I have watched him a lot. Some of the other D-men on the U18 team are much more physical.

He's has a deadly shot from the point. Most of his goals are on the power play.

I doubt Erik would come on here and display pictures of him and his friends for everyone to see, there are no pictures to see when I click the link

Then there's something wrong with your computer. Erik didn't come on here and post the link, I got the link from his Myspace.com profile

Is Erik Johnson related to Carolina's Jack Johnson (3rd overall pick in 2005)?
