The goaltending for Crosby's career has been fine. Most of it was with a future hall of famer in net.

I was specifically speaking of Crosby's save percentage, since you brought up his goals against.

Controller disconnected or not, at least he eventually made it below this own zone's hashmarks and is looking in the right direction. That's more than he can usually claim for his defensive "efforts".

His career GA / 60 at ES is far from the players who are actually good at defense.

Crosby is definitely still a top player in the league. Is there anybody that would rather play Crosby in the playoffs than any other player right now? I dont think so. That team is scary and he is a huge reason why it's so scary.

It's arguable this season but I wouldn't count him out the next couple of years. I expect he'll be able to sprinkle in 1 or 2 more top 10 caliber seasons before old age starts to get to him.

Their past seasons, not the their past play. I think Barkov is the better player right now (this season) and that is without a scorer like Guentzel next to him. Jeez you need to broaden your horizons..

Its the ratio that matters most not just the cumulative amount.

BTW MAF was never on the HHOF radar while in Pittsburg and frankly he is still very very doubtfull.

It's a pretty easy "yes" for me. He's only the littlest marginal bit out of the top-10 in scoring, and unlike some of the guys ahead of him he's a player who obviously brings more to the table than just his stats. We also happen to be in a period where there aren't a lot of superstar D or G out there to take up spots in that top-10.

Think of it this way. If Seattle could sign one player right now to give them the biggest advantage going into next season, are there 10 guys who would have a bigger impact than Crosby? I don't think there are.

The only forwards I would definitely rank ahead of him are McDavid, Drai, Kucherov and MacK. Imo then there's a group with Panarin, Matthews, Marchand, Pastrnak, OV, Malkin, Kane, Barkov (might have missed someone). Crosby is in there somewhere, actual rank just depends on personal preference.

People putting Crosby in the top10 of PLAYERS apparently don't think any of the league's Dmen or goalies rank highly at all. Factoring those player groups in, Crosby absolutely isn't in the top10 any more.

Taking out age or contracts and just strictly picking the player right now there isn’t a D man in the league I would take over Crosby and the only goalie in the discussion to me is Vas in TB.
