But that's not even the point. The point is that comparing the BEST Championship teams to the WORST teams in Russia, Holland or Portugal is a truly silly way to go around comparing leagues.

What you wrote was literally that all teams in Russia, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Turkey (etc.) are better than the top teams in the Championship:

It's not anywhere near 6th. Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Dutch, etc... All the teams would blow top Championship teams away.

If we look at teams beyond the top ones then Championship is easily the best league of these by the way. If we were to use Transfermarkt squad values as a reasonably neutral indicator for example, then the Championship is the best of the lot starting from the 6th team and the difference just gets bigger and bigger in England's favor the lower you go.

I mean is he really all that wrong? Other than those American and Canadian hockey players, the Finnish are definitely among the best!
