I think he ends his career a bit under point per game, but think he's going to be around that for a while.

This year he seems to be. But scoring rates are up league wide. Could he yes but I think it’s better not to label kids that are young. He’s a hell of a player and should be a star in the league and the face of his franchise.

Think he'll be 1, I do think he's over rated but still he's a very good player and seems to be getting better.

I mean....isn't the answer obvious? PPG isn't subjective - and he is playing at PPG.

And he's definitely one of the forwards in contention for Selke. Poll isn't even asking about being a finalist or winner, just a contender, and that is yes.

I think he's more likely PPG Hart.

I can't see him being a Selke finalist

Bergeron has much better defensive stats and reputation

Kopitar defensive stats are similar, has great reputation and better offense

Couturier has similar offense with much better defensive stats.

They're your 3 finalist.

What Barkov is doing in Florida is def worthy of Hart attention if they make playoffs In the same way Hall deserves recognition

He may not maintain his pace all season though which is also obvious.

And he wasn't even on that pace until what, 5 days ago either...Op was literally waiting all season to make this thread just hoping he'd hit the PPG threshold. It could just as well disappear 5 hours from now.

Last 3 seasons point per game rate

Barkov #1 amongst two way centers, #9 overall. Still underrated on HF

Has more goals than Kopitar in lesser games, and only 22. Bergeron and MacKinnon not on the list but at #18 and #19

2nd highest adjusted REL CF% amongst NHL centers

Only Sean Couturier has higher (selke nom for sure). But let's look at the first 30 player list.. 3 Flyers, all on the same line as Couturier vs 0 player from Florida aside from Barkov

Barkov might be the most underrated player in NHL history. Extremely impactful player on both ends, yet doesn't get half the credit he deserves because he either plays for a low market team and/or he isn't Canadian/American.

He scored 59 in 66 games at 20, 52 points in 61 games with garbage on his wings and a back problem last year at 21y.

Huberdeau is just 24y, Barkov 22y, add Tippett on their Rw and I think we could see a pretty deadly line for a long time.

now he doesn't get credit for his season because "scoring is up" even though his stats have been nearly the same through 3+ seasons lol

there's only 3 players that have sustained a 1+ ppg vs Barkov's 0.91 and those are McDavid Crosby Malkin

How dishonest you are. You saw my thread I made nine games into the season calling Barkov a ppg player. Sorry you’re losing the argument. No need to make up conspiracy theories about me. PS Barkov scored

For the record, Voracek hasn't played with Giroux and Couts since early December. It's been Konecny on that line for more than half the season now.
