Check this out boys. I don't think Babs is TESTING OUT the best possible lineups.
Yeah we are winning, but IMO, we can be even better with these line ups ---- check this out.

JVR - Matthews - Kappanen

Hyman - Nylander - Marner

Marleau - Kadri - Brown

Komarov - Plekanec - Bozak

line 1: JVR's defensive mishaps are countered by Matts and Kappy's strong 2-way play. Also, I think Kappy can score 25 goals, and 60+ points easily playing by Matts..... Hell did u see what Kappy does on a regular basis playing with that pylon Komarov?

[Projection: JVR: 35 Goals - 60 Points. Matthews: 45 Goals - 40 assists. Kapanen: 25 Goals - 35 Assists]

line 2: Hyman is the defensive specialist in this line ---- his main goal is to get the puck to Nylander/Marner and play is the "3rd Defensemen" when this line is out ....

[Projection: Marner 70 points, Nylander 70 points, Hyman 35-50 Points]

line 3:
This is our shutdown line, Marleau-Kadri-Brown are ALL AMAZING 2-way players.

[Projection: Kadri: 30 Goals - 25 Assists, Marleau: 25 Goals, 20 Assists, Brown: 20 Goals - 20 Apples]

line 4: Don't expect too much offense form this line, Komarov and Plekanec are very good defensively, and Bozak's role --- As a winger, is to take advantage of other teams' 4th lines, and create as a playmaker.

[Projection: Komarov: 10 Goals - 15 Assists, Plekanecs: 15 Goals, 20 Assists, Bozak: 15 Goals - 25 Apples]

marleau and hyman should switch. no reason for will and mitch to be stuck with him. marleau with will and mitch would be a fantastic 2nd line and hyman with kadri and brown would be a great shutdown line.

No. Of course not. Babcock is deliberately trolling HF Leaf posters by putting the least desirable combos on the ice as often as possible until the complaining gets so loud he can't drown out the din anymore and he finally makes the changes the fans have yelling for for months.

Why separate Marner and Kadri when they are two of the hottest players in the NHL since being put together?

OP you are getting too caught up into individual stats and numbers. The most important stat is wins and losses. We have a good team but there are still many flaws that Andersen has covered up this year. I will trust Babcock.

Sounds like a lot of over exaggeration sentences for no reason. The lines are working based on results and process. Lol at removing Marner from Kadri's line.
while this is true, both kadri and marner showed they can produce and play well without each other. In the future as more depth comes in I would rather see kadri given good wingers like jonsson, or grundstrom and be allowed to carry his own line. He is easily skilled enough to drive a line in terms of possession and actual scoring. Marner and nylander looked to have some nice chemistry. No reason to break it right now, but for the future years to come when we obtain and lose depth players I would love to see a nylander-marner or matthews-marner duo.

Your lines suck, and you should feel bad.

Having the best faceoff man on the team as a winger is actually a joke.

The ONLY lineup change needed is to move Brown and Kapanen. Brown has been disappointing offensively for me (Lack of production and hasn't generated opportunities like I thought he would).

Hyman -Matthews - Nylander (Two-way, offensive line #1)
Marleau - Kadri - Marner (Two-way, Shutdown line #1)
JVR - Bozak - Kapanen (Offensive line #2)
Komarov - Plekanec - Brown (Shutdown line #2)

because the forwards revolve around Hyman and he needs 2 elite linemates to try to make it look like he's an acceptable 1st line player

I think this what happens, but based on EV time we'll very quickly see that offense 2 is the 4th line in Babs eyes. Personally I'd love to see Pleks up between JVR and Kap/Brown and have a complete top 9 that doesn't have to be sheltered, but that's just me
