Why rush Stamkos back? When he is ready he is ready. They have a groove going on now. Stamkos might complicate things his first few games back if he is not ready and they have no room for error.

Back-to-back games, I bet we see one (or both) of them tomorrow night.

Unfortunately, tonight is the far tougher opponent.

That might be part of the reason Stammer won't be back tonight. It's hard enough to get up to speed in a game after a long term injury, but against the Habs??? Better to ease him in vs. the Stars tomorrow.

Especially since I'll be at that game. :D

Cooper said Steven Stamkos (recovering from knee surgery), Tyler Johnson (lower-body injury), Jason Garrison (lower-body injury) and Cedric Paquette (lower-body injury) will all be out of the lineup again tonight. Johnson and Stamkos participated in Tampa Bay's morning skate on Saturday. Garrison and Paquette did not.

Cooper seemed doubtful whether Johnson or Stamkos could return Sunday when the Lightning host the Dallas Stars in the second game of a back-to-back set at AMALIE Arena because of the quick turnaround but suggested the pair might make an appearance when the Bolts go on a three-game road trip starting Tuesday in Boston.

"It's tough," Cooper said. "They're not playing tonight, and then we have to turn around and play tomorrow but maybe that road trip could be a chance some of those guys come back."

Lol we're not gonna see Johnson, Stamkos, Paq or Cally till next year folks. Were done.

Maybe had Johnson not gotten hurt against MIN we'd still be alright, but our Centers down this stretch...oh god....

Stamkos would have been amazing to have back for the last 7 game push but its not happening

I wonder is Stamkos will be back for either of the next 2 games given their magnitude and how close he allegedly was this weekend. You have to think he at least has that Leafs game circled on his calendar if the docs sign off on it.
