Figured I'd start one of these so Observations can be used for.. well, observations instead of injury talk.

Could also use this thread to talk about suspended players.

    Current injuries:

    Dan Hamhuis (IR, since 10/24/18)
    Zac Rinaldo (Day-to-day, since 11/1/18)
Viktor Arvidsson (IR, since 11/5/18, retroactive to 10/30/18)

    Current suspension(s):

Austin Watson (27 games, reduced to 18 games, eligible to return 11/15/18)

What's the deal with Hamhuis? Haven't heard a word about him.

I'd like to know this as well. Must have been more serious than anyone thought.

When he went on the list I said at the time that maybe it was a related to whatever was hurting at the beginning of the season. He missed a game or two and skipped practice early October.

Eh......Not much of an update but he was put on IR retroactive to last Tuesday so "technically" he could play as early as Wednesday. I don't expect it, but it might not be that much longer. I doubt that helps.

Well it was a hard hit, so a small fracture wouldn't surprise me. Something he'd play through if it was playoff time, but at this time of the season it makes more sense to get 100% healthy.

Forums been a bit wonky for me the last hour and a half or so. Probably server issues or something.

Tough season so far for Arvy.

Puck to the face and missing teeth, the lower body injury and now this. He plays hard and gives it his all and then some every night so it's not that surprising that he'll miss some time now and then. Hope he's all good soon and stays healthy rest of the season all the way through playoffs.

Wouldn't be surprised if that was a broken wrist.

Looked like base of thumb by the way he was trying to flex it. We will likely never know.

Agreed. Think it was something in that area. Could easily be 4-6 week injury. I hope not. The top line isn't the same.

If he flew back, it would be severe. If he's still with the team, minor. Someone find that out and that could clue us in.

I wouldn't necessarily say that equates to how severe the injury is. He can't play until we're back home anyway so I'm not sure how they'll handle that. I don't know the answer to your question by the way

The Ducks commentators mentioned yesterday early in the 1st how Arvi flew back to Nashville after the Stars game.

I saw this somewhere on twitter yesterday- who knows if it is accurate or not. But this person said they had it on good authority that he did fly back to Nashville and had a cast on his hand.
Again, this is just some random twitter guy, so it very well may not be true- who knows?

I saw that too. There were a few people who said he was on their flights back from Dallas and he did indeed have a cast. May have been precautionary but he's likely looking at a 4-6 week injury if a cast was needed.
