Agreed. Makes sense to upgrade the defense since you’re probably not upgrading your offense enough to compete in the division.

Even with a bad offensive scheme the Raiders were 11th in the league in offense. What they need to do is get one right side offensive lineman and a #1 WR. They don't really need to go overboard to do so, their passing offense was 6th in the league. It's better to upgrade defense in free agency though. Defensive players at free agent age are more reliable than offensive players.

Seems there’s some good WR in free agency right now. None good enough for a 1 but still upgrades on what’s there.

Raiders are eating $8 mill in dead cap for him. Think they are around $18 mill of dead cap with another $8 mill total tied to the first rounders in Ruggs and Arnette. Could go even higher if they pet with Ferrell.

At least they got a DB on a rookie deal.
