So, Ads fans, which 7 players would you send to training camp?

Preds have 13 forwards, 8 D men.

2 more d pairs, 3 forwards? A different mix?

Up front Eeli, Rem and McCarron giving Nashville some more speed and some size with McCarron.

On D Carrier (big scorer) & Healey (big hitter), Santini and Davies (they were a pair in MK most of the season).

I'd send Tolvanen, Pitlick, Novak, Trenin and Carr as forwards and Carrier and Allard as defensemen.

I figured that Trenin was on Nashville to stay, so I did not pick him to go to training camp. I thought that he should already be there when it opens.

I think that it is interesting that out of 7 players, we only have three in common. Eeli, Rem and Carrier. (Four if you count Trenin)

Note to BFC: AF24 didn't pick Donovan either.

Vingan and prospect expert Scott Wheeler did a piece for The Athletic where they gave some upside and stylistic comparisons to some our prospects.

Obviously more to it than this, but here's what they came up with:

Philip Tomasino = William Nylander
David Farrance = Shayne Gostisbehere
Eeli Tolvanen = streakier Vincent Trocheck
Connor Ingram = Jake Allen
Egor Afanasyev = Roope Hintz
Rem Pitlick = Anthony Beauvillier
Jeremy Davies = Ethan Bear
Patrick Harper = Blake Lizotte
Frederic Allard = Markus Nutivaara
Grant Mismash = Scott Laughton

I remember Tim played at Michigan. They always had RBs with names out of Dickens. Harlan Huckleby is the first one that I remembered. Tyrone Wheatley and Butch Woolfolk are two more.

I just loved the name Tishmanga Biakabatuka. I could say it like air rolling off the tongue. But this may be the greatest year for names in a draft. Gunnarwolfe Fontaine - NHL - DraftSite.com

Did the draft simulator on draftsim

Ended up with these picks:

#16 Seth Jarvis, RW
"Super skilled, quick, offensive minded winger. Elite feet and quick hands. Needs more strength"

#37 Marat Khusnutdinov, C
"Super skilled, two-way, playmaking centre. Strong skater and two-way compete level"

#47 Ryan O'Rourke, LD
"Complete package, two-way defenseman. Natural born leader. Offense not high-end"

#73 Jack Finley, C
"Big, rangy, two-way centre. Good on faceoffs. Nice shot. Lanky. Needs to improve skating"

#78 Antonio Stranges, C
"Flashy, smooth, offensive point producer. Elite edge work. Disappears for long stretches"

#140 Cross Hanas, LW

#171 Jan Bednar, G

Tried to draft the BPA while also keeping our needs in mind. Draft is still ways off but would be interesting to see who ends up drafting who.

Anyone else see the Milwaukee Admirals in the Seattle Kraken jerseys?

Not me. They have done the Olympic team, Imperial Storm Troopers, the police, plaid jerseys...

I wonder what will happen with the OHL this year. The Preds might as well have brought Tomasino into the bubble as a Black Ace just for some extra exposure and work, since they ended up going 1 player under the roster limit. And it might be worth thinking about having Afanaseyev playing back in Russia this year if the OHL is shuttered? :dunno:

Tolvanen with a nice snipe today:

He's now up to 4 points in 6 games with Jokerit.

Yeryomenko with 2 assists today as well.
